New managing director looks positively into the future


GASTI Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH, one of the oldest companies in Packaging Valley, being in business for over 120 years and now part of the IMA DAIRY & FOOD Group, is under new management. Berthold Burgmeier, took on the role of Managing Director of the business on 1st  April 2021.  

Berthold Burgmeier has many years of experience working in the packaging and dairy industry.  After studying mechanical engineering, he worked for several years as a project manager in the R & D department at Krones AG. From 2007 he has held various management positions.

Most recently Berthold Burgmeier held the position of Head of Central Technology in the service of the dairy company Gropper, during his time in this role he was instrumental in enabling growth through the latest technologies and methods.

Thomas Becker, CEO and partner of the IMA DAIRY & FOOD Group stated “Having Mr Burgmeier join the team is a great advantage for GASTI.  His many years of experience in this industry gives him a unique understanding from suppliers and customers perspective, which will enable us to continue to develop the GASTI brand and grow the business.”

GASTI is a pioneer in hygienic filling machines for the dairy and food industries. Although the Covid.19 pandemic has created challenges for the industry, Mr. Burgmeier is looking ahead with confidence; bringing fresh ideas and innovation, he will build on GASTI’s long established history and continue to drive the delivery of efficient filling and sealing machines to the market.
